BIAN has as its Stragtegy to bring together

in a community to achieve synergies by collaborating on a consensus understanding of the requirements for ‘banking enterprise services’ within a SOA framework and the formal description of a banking services landscape. Based on this services landscape it focuses on the semantic definition of banking services capable of meeting those requirements by being implemented on any technology platform and to facilitate ease of integration of these services by encouraging the adoption of existing or new industry semantic standards for messaging.
