Finance industry leaders to speak at BIAN C-level Summit

BIAN welcomes C-level attendees from across the banking industry

23 March 2016, Berlin — Global not-for-profit association, the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) is set to host a leading industry event with support from think tank CORE.

The BIAN C-Level Summit, taking place on April 20 in Berlin, will provide an unparalleled opportunity for financial industry executives to engage with like-minded industry leaders.

Emerging trends including Blockchain, cyber security, direct payments, cloud, open APIs and FinTech-banking collaboration will be addressed and discussed with the audience, with acclaimed Fintech expert, Ole Tillmann, moderating the discussions. Tillman’s experience includes advising on all aspects of production for the ideas conference TEDxBerlin since 2009 and the internet conference NEXT BERLIN since 2010.

The free-to-attend event will involve speakers from FinTech startups including Finleap, a FinTech company builder. This innovative enterprise will give its inside view to the finance industry and the challenges from digitalisation.

Finleap will be joined by well known banking industry leaders including UBS and Gartner, who will discuss the issue of the changing role of banks in light of emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Agile Organisations and explain the importance of standardisation when navigating the challenges  for the industry.

BIAN is inviting C-level executives from across the international banking sector to join the event for an opportunity to hear from leading figures in the industry on how best to determine future-proofed strategies and share best practices with peers.

BIAN Introduction Day
BIAN also warmly welcomes attendees from across the finance and technology industries to join them for a BIAN Introduction day on April 18. Attendees will be provided with a detailed explanation and introduction to BIAN, including its current progress and future plans for defining a global core banking IT standard, with help from members including UBS, Credit Suisse, DBS, Oracle, CORE, IBM, CGI and PNC.

The day is designed for IT Management and Enterprise Architects to discover the benefits of the BIAN industry-wide standard, which is already being adopted by financial institutions and major software vendors around the globe.
