Can you give us an overview of your role?
My role is to ensure the overall function and application consistency of the different components that our solution is made of. It’s all about defining the architectures and the governing principles of the solution, and supporting their implementation.

What prompted you to participate in BIAN?
We believe that having standards that help to improve interoperability between solutions is a must-have for banks.  As a vendor, we’re looking for commonly accepted reference models, which can govern our solution, and ease the implementation at bank side.

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing the banking industry in the next 5 years?
The transformation of the business model towards an ecosystem model, where the bank acts as a digital business platform, mastering customer experience, but interconnecting all sorts of service providers and service consumers. Services that will go more and more beyond the usual banking features. In this context, BIAN should provide the standards helping to structure this platform, by defining service boundaries, APIs, etc (at least for the banking-related services…).

How would you sum up the future of banking in one word?
