The overall objective of the BIAN Working Group Lending is to ensure that the BIAN Service Landscape describes the set of Service Domains necessary to perform Lending in any banking environment. It will describe the complete operation of Lending, prioritising delivery of those aspects that eliminate semantic ambiguity & reduce integration costs.
BIAN Lending Working Group is responsible for the delivery of:
- the set of Business Scenarios that validate the interactions between Service Domains to support Lending
- definitions of semantic Service Domains & semantic Service Operations that enable the set of Business Scenarios
- definition of those Service Domains to support use for banking activities as required for other BIAN Working Groups
- definition of terms in the Business Vocabulary that clarify Lending
Currently, the BIAN Lending Working Group is identifying, documenting & refining the Service Operations that enable ‘Loan Origination – Corporate Lending’ for delivery in Service Landscape 1.6.
For the rest of 2012, the Working Group will be specifying Business Scenarios & Service Domains to complete the coverage of Lending. It is currently anticipated this can be suitably accounted for by a total of 5 generic Business Scenarios & a number of variations that showcase them for different lines of business.
