David J. Vander

WW Industry Lead, Microsoft Services


David Vander is the WW Industry Lead for Microsoft Services. In his role, Mr. Vander is responsible for business consulting services across all Industries Worldwide including FSI, Retail, Manufacturing, Government, Healthcare and Education.

Mr. Vander is a fourteen-year Microsoft veteran, and has worked in Corporate Head Office, in Regional and in subsidiary roles. Prior to
his current role, he was the General Manager of Microsoft Services Asia Pacific based in Singapore . Prior to that he was the Worldwide Sales Excellence Lead for the Microsoft Enterprise Partner Group (EPG) based in Seattle, as well as a member of the Worldwide Enterprise Leadership Team. Previous to that he was the Worldwide Managing Director of Banking and Financial Services also based in Seattle.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Vander worked for Cap Gemini, SMS Consulting Group, and Ford Motor Company. With over twenty years’ experience working in many industries including IT, consulting services, financial services and automotive, he is a highly respected global leader with a strong track record and extensive knowledge on the evolving challenges and opportunities experienced by enterprises today, and how organizations can prepare themselves for the future.

Mr. Vander holds four degrees, including a Master’s degree in Engineering, a Master ’s degree in IT and an MBA. He sits on the
Board of the Banking Industry Architecture Network (www.bian.org).

Originally from Australia, Mr. Vander is married with four daughters.
He has run four marathons, is a huge movie aficionado and was once a published film reviewer.
