Executive General Manager Payments and Enterprise Transformation

Dom Ziinois the EGM for Payments and Enterprise Transformation at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He leads the bank’s payments platforms and enterprise wide transformation agenda, focused on modernising core banking, data and technology foundations at scale.

Prior to this role, Dom spent just over four years as EGM of Business Banking Technology. During this time, he led technology delivery across lending, payments, everyday banking and digital channels for the Business Bank, with a strong focus on simplifying complex platforms, strengthening engineering and risk practices, and accelerating the adoption of modern technologies and agile ways of working. His teams delivered customer focused solutions that improved resilience, scalability and speed to market while supporting the Business Bank’s growth agenda.

Earlier in his career, Dom spent seven years leading Retail Digital Technology, where he was responsible for NetBank and the award winning CommBank mobile app. He also led CommSec technology for more than a decade, helping scale it into Australia’s market leading online trading platform.

Dom is known for pragmatic leadership, strong execution and a focus on simplification and modern engineering practices. He chairs the Technology and Community Steering Group and is an executive sponsor of the EmpowerHER program, reflecting his commitment to inclusion, leadership development and community impact.
