Head of Enterprise Generative AI and Chief Information Officer, Consumer Technology at Wells Fargo

As Head of Enterprise Generative AI (Gen AI), Tracy leads the effort to deliver this advanced technology responsibly and for the benefit of Wells Fargo’s customers. She is fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to bolster the company’s Gen AI capabilities at scale. As CIO, Tracy is instrumental in modernizing the technology and reinventing the customer experience for Wells Fargo’s Auto, Credit Card, Payments, Home Lending, and Small Business units. She also defines the strategic roadmap for new and emerging technology platforms that enable customers to engage with the company and its diversified set of banking products and services.


Previously, Tracy held the role of Head of Technology and CIO, Enterprise Functions Technology, where she accelerated Wells Fargo’s digital transformation and led the delivery of services that provide customers with 24/7 banking access and employees with modern collaboration tools.
Before joining Wells Fargo, she served in several senior leadership roles at Antares Capital, Bank of America, Accenture, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.


Tracy is a passionate advocate of diversity in the workplace and has provided leadership to women in technology groups throughout her career. At Wells Fargo, she launched and currently serves as executive sponsor for the Women in Technology advocacy group. To help increase diversity in technology and computing sectors, Tracy serves on the board at The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT). She is also a board member at The Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN), a nonprofit ecosystem of leading banks, technology providers, and academics that’s focused on lowering the cost of banking and boosting industry innovation, and Discovery Place, a nonprofit hub for science education and exploration in the Carolinas.


Most recently, Tracy was recognized again by American Banker for its Most Powerful Women in Banking list in 2024. She was also selected for the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2023 “Power 100,” recognizing the region’s leaders in diversity, equity, and inclusion and the outlet’s 2023 “Women in Business” list. In addition, Tracy received the 2022 Carolina CIO of the Year ORBIE award in the Super Global category.
Tracy earned a degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. She lives in Charlotte, N.C. with her husband and three
children.
