Collaboration between BIAN & TOGAF

February 14, 2012 —

There are synergies in using BIAN in combination with TOGAF, an open industry consensus framework and method for enterprise architecture. When applying TOGAF in a banking environment, the BIAN content will contribute to speed up the work by providing banking industry specific architecture content.

In the white paper, both TOGAF and BIAN are mapped to each other. The leverage of the BIAN Service Landscape in the context of the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) is further elaborated. For each step in an architecture development process, the integration of BIAN deliverables, especially the BIAN Service Landscape, is described.

In applying both industry frameworks in an integrated way, Enterprise Architects will be able to speed up their work and improve quality and consistency of the architecture products they deliver.

Speakers:
Hans Tesselaar, BIAN Executive Director
Paul Bonnie, Head of Enterprise Architecture Office, ING/OPS&IT Banking on behalf of BIAN
Thomas Obitz, Principal Advisor, KPMG UK, on behalf of the Open Group
