Success Story
Texas Dow Employee Credit Union

The Texas Dow Employee Credit Union (TDECU) recently embarked on an ambitious digital transformation journey encompassing its technology capabilities, organizational structure, and operating model, with a business goal of being ranked among the top 20 credit unions in the US.
Through an engagement with CC&C Solutions, the business has embraced the BIAN framework as a critical enabler of establishing a common business and IT taxonomy and orienting the organization towards a product-centric mindset.
While digital transformation initiatives are not unusual in this market, and BIAN is frequently leveraged in that work, TDECU’s program stands out as a rare example of a “whole of bank” adoption of BIAN. The change involves not only a new Digital Bank, Core Banking Platform, Payments Hub, Credit Card, Processor, CRM, and Integration and Orchestration platform, but also draws on the BIAN framework as inspiration for a bank-wide agile organizational operating model to improve quality and speed-to-market.
Through the implementation, TDECU has identified a path to eliminating over sixty duplicate applications, delivered highly composable, personalized user journeys, and expects a 3x improvement in time-to-market of new applications and capabilities.
“Even though this is a very ambitious project, BIAN has provided a very solid foundation for reimagining our financial products, identifying duplicative capabilities and informing our product-oriented organizational model” – Debbrata Das, SVP, Enterprise Platforms and Architecture
